Job Requirements / Description
Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge where you can take ownership and make a lasting impact?
If you have a background in finance and are ready to step into a role where you can shape the financial future of a growing business, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
You'll join as Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of financial operations within a thriving construction business. You'll manage everything from bookkeeping and VAT returns to intercompany accounts and Work in Progress (WIP), ensuring compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). You'll prepare monthly management accounts, drive cash flow forecasting, and be the go-to person for all things finance on-site.
As the sole finance person on-site, you'll have the chance to own the financial strategy and operations of the business, playing a key role in its ongoing growth. This is your opportunity to make a real impact, as you'll be the first point of contact for all financial matters, helping to shape the company's financial direction.
But that's not all. As the business continues to expand, you'll have the chance to build and lead your own finance team. This role is perfect if you're looking for a position where you can grow your career, develop new skills, and take on more responsibility as the company scales.
You'll work closely with senior management and the commercial team to ensure financial processes are efficient, streamlined, and fully compliant.
You'll oversee the preparation of management accounts, track project costs with precision, and provide invaluable insights into cash flow and profitability. With your expertise in finance, you'll ensure the business stays on top of all VAT and CIS obligations, while ensuring that all financial transactions are fully reconciled.
If you don't have direct experience in construction finance, that's OK! Candidates who have a solid finance background in industries with contracting work, where similar principles of project costing, financial management, and compliance apply will also be considered. If you've worked in sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, or any business with a contracting or project-based model, your skills and experience can translate perfectly to this role.
If you're excited about the idea of being the driving force behind the company's financial operations and have the ambition to build and lead your own team then click 'Apply'...
