Mortgage Underwriter

They need experienced Buy to Let Underwriters, but this could just be part of your skill set as there is a definite opportunity to expand into other areas in the future. The primary function of this role is to assess and underwrite mortgage applications to ensure all lending complies with the company’s credit risk policy. Additionally, work with the processing team to assist in the preparation of case files as well as assisting our intermediary partners by discussing potential new applications. If you want to join this exciting company, you will have: * A current or recent Underwriting Mandate * Good knowledge of Buy to Let lending (to include Limited Company, HMO and Multi lets) * A good understanding of the mortgage process * Knowledge of working under pressure to tight deadlines - a 'can do ‘attitude * Record/file management experience * Experience of working in a team * Ability to prioritise tasks * Excellent communication skills In return, they offer: * Hybrid working pattern: Office based in Milton Keynes on Mondays & Thursdays with the other 3 days a week working from home. * Contributory pension scheme * Death in service (4 x salary) * Vitality Private Medical Insurance & dental cover * Employee Assistance Program * Discretionary annual bonus * Additional 2 days holiday over Christmas
