Finance Manager - Local Authority

Ackerman Pierce is actively seeking a Finance Manager to join a team within Cheshire East. This exciting opportunity, initially for a 6-month term, comes with the potential for extension based on performance and internal circumstances. Candidates with Local Authority experience will be given preference. You will need to hold a CCAB Qualification Hybrid Working Duties for role The candidate will cover the role of Finance Manager - Children and Schools. This includes advising service directors and elected members plus managing a team to deliver financial support to the children and families directorate (inc. children's social care and home to school transport) Managing the accounting arrangements for the dedicated school's grant. The post is part of the finance leadership team who manage the overall finance service.You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, high quality, financial service including the management and supervision of staff. You will be a visible leader, manage resources effectively, and be passionate about making a difference. You will have management responsibility for a finance team, be a positive role model, andensure commitment towards team goals and Service vision and priorities. It will be your responsibility to performance manage your team and ensure we deliver to our customers. You will look to create positive working relationships and be committed to developing yourteam and yourself.
