Compliance & Building Safety Manager Job Type: Permanent Location: Suffolk Salary: £46,464 per annum plus excellent public sector benefits Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Hybrid working modelWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading public sector client based in Suffolk for a Compliance & Building Safety Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide a comprehensive, high-quality service focused on the maintenance and improvement of housing stock and local environment, with a specific emphasis on managing compliance and building safety matters. Day-to-day of the role: Ensure and report on compliance with UK Compliance Standards across all housing stock. Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to ensure all compliance inspections and rectifications are carried out efficiently. Achieve 100% access to homes for compliance purposes, coordinating with Customer Liaison and Tenancy Services Officers. Manage a team of surveying and technical officers, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Lead project teams for specific projects, ensuring a coordinated approach to maintenance and work allocation. Oversee and undertake feasibility studies, prepare estimates, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation for works on Council properties. Manage contracts, including chairing meetings, monitoring quality, progress, costs, and safety. Required Skills & Qualifications: Building services related degree or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., MCIOB, MRICS). Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Fire Safety legislation and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate. Demonstrable experience in H&S compliance across all M&E fields and risk management. Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications including databases and spreadsheets.
