Accounts Assistant

Assistant Accountant Location: Trafford Park Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 Axon Moore are partnering with a leading PE backed client in a really interesting and dynamic industry, a client who we have worked with closely for a number of years to appoint a permanent full time Assistant Accountant. Due to a recent acquisition the opportunity has arisen to join a closeknit finance team - a excellent opportunity to expand and diversify your finance experience into a business that is continuing to grow! You will join as part of the wider finance team and working closely with the finance leaders. Beginning in a transactional finance position before taking on month end and Management Accounting duties. Personal Benefits: 25 days holidays plus bank hols 1 days additional leave per year of service Annual business trip Hybrid working Staff discounts Pension scheme On site parking Daily Duties: Maintain accounts in Sage and produce monthly trial balances Full management of the accounting package – currently Sage 50, including all journal entries, invoice processing and expenses. Provide insight into business performance on a weekly/monthly basis Full management of cash, bank reconciliations and managing petty cash. Processing of payments in Multiple Currencies. Prepare Prepayments, Accruals & maintain FA register Preparing quarterly UK VAT return Ad hoc projects for senior members of the business Assist with the financial audit Report discrepancies or mistakes to senior management Assist with annual budgeting Personal Experience: Working towards or achieved AAT L3 Experience in a similar finance assistant / accounts assistant position Ideally experienced in SAGE 50 Possess strong analytical skills Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills - able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand it If you are interested in applying for the role of Assistant Accountant please contact Charlotte @ (url removed)
