Credit Controller

Credit Controller Full Time - Permanent Monday - Friday (9am-5pm) Newton le Willows 26K We are excited to have a Credit Control opportunity to play a key role within the client's strong Finance team. The successful and tenacious candidate will manage a select set of customer accounts and will be focused on reducing overdue debt whilst also building strong internal and external professional relationships. Responsibilities * Responsible for managing domestic overdue debt by phone & email. * Document telephone conversations with customers to facilitate timely reporting with senior management. * 20/30 phone calls a day with accompanying email follow-up. * Ensure invoice disputes are escalated and followed up in a timely manner. * Proactively manage and mitigate against rising aged debt. * Escalate to senior management customers facing financial distress. * Ad-hoc streamlined reporting and other duties as required by the Finance Team. Key Skills * Experience as a credit controller * Experience in Sage Intacct is desirable * Commercial acumen with methodical analytical skills and attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining organised * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate and influence * Prioritisation skills, especially managing multiple requests and deadlines * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Able to work effectively on own initiative with little supervision * Can do attitude, able to adapt quickly, not averse to change * Have passion, drive and be highly competitive * MS Excel at intermediate level The role is initially office based – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with potential hybrid work arrangements after probation. £26k DOE Further details will be provided upon application Horizon Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer and is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
