Educated Appointments are thrilled to be supporting an education provider in the North East of England to recruit a Financial Services Apprenticeship Tutor on a part-time basis.
Working 2 days per week (potentially more in the future), the Financial Services Apprenticeship tutor would be responsible for delivering the below apprenticeship standards to students in the local area:
- Financial Services Customer Advisor Level 2
- Financial Services Administrator Level 3
One day will be classroom based and the second day would be spread across learner workplaces. A full drivers license and use of own vehicle is required for this role.
The post holder will teach and manage learning / training on a range of financial, accountancy and payroll courses to progress apprentices through a period of learning that enhances their ability to perform their current role to the highest standard and improve their chances of career progression.
The role is expected to deliver and assess on apprenticeship provision and will include, classroom delivery, workplace visits, regular employer reviews, updating their E-portfolio system as well as liaising with relevant awarding organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, engaging and interactive training sessions to apprentices in Financial Services, Payroll and Accountancy, utilising a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and overcome challenges in order achieve individual learning goals that underpin positive outcomes for apprentices
- Facilitate classroom instruction and hands-on training to ensure apprentices acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for their role, including integration of real-world scenarios, case studies and relevant guest speakers/industry experts into a range of high-quality training materials to enhance learning and application.
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create, update, and enhance course materials, lesson plans, and assessments that align with current industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular workplace visits to observe apprentices in their work environments, providing constructive feedback, guidance and support to reinforce learning and application of skills.
- Collaborate with employers during workplace visits to assess apprentice progress and ensure alignment with training objectives and employer expectations and carry out the eight-week tripartite reviews in a timely manner, set clear targets and implement intervention where required
- Conduct assessments of apprentices’ progress through formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development as well as ensuring all assessment activities are fair, transparent, and aligned with learning outcomes
- Managing a caseload of apprentices, ensuring timely progression of their chosen qualification and/ or apprenticeship.
- Ensure all apprentices’ visits adhere to their agreed training plan in line with the qualification/standard guidelines and requirements.
- Monitor apprentice progression and ensure all forms of delivery, learning and assessment for each element of the apprenticeship/qualification is completed enabling apprentices to meet both the criteria of the end assessment and achievement of any embedded qualification.
- Maintaining apprentice records via their Eportfolio system accurately and ensuring evidence for all visits is readily available and accessible for audit and quality purposes.
- Proactively engage in self-development (including CPD) aligned to current and future business need and supporting growth of the curriculum.
- Promote a positive image of the company and ensure employers are aware of the off the job planning activities and monitor the completion of these throughout the apprenticeship learner journey.
- Plan, prepare and carry out mock end point assessment activities to prepare apprentices for end point assessment. Work with employers to ensure that apprentices are entered for the end assessment at a point that is agreed when the apprentice is ready.
- Proactively work with Management and the Business Development Team to maintain targeted caseload numbers.
- Promote and monitor the Prevent Duty, Safeguarding, equality of opportunity and safe working practices as defined by policies ensuring all mandatory training is completed.
