Finance Assistant Fixed Term Contracts – 9 months. £25,000.00 - £30,000.00 per annum Days Manchester Job Advertisement: Finance/Accounts Assistant Are you a driven and detail-oriented Finance/Accounts Assistant with a background in manufacturing and a knack for Excel? Join our clients close-knit team as a Finance/Accounts Assistant and become an essential part of their financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Debtors Management • Raise sales invoices and credit notes efficiently • Maintain rigorous credit control and oversee credit insurance • Set up new customers, ensuring compliance with all necessary checks • Manage customer statements, ensuring accounts are accurate and up-to-date. Creditors Management • Post purchase invoices accurately • Set up new supplier accounts • Reconcile supplier statements and keep records current • Upload payments for authorisation and assist with payment processing General Accounting Support • Perform month-end bank reconciliations and post relevant journals • Engage in essential administrative tasks that support our financial processes • Complete balance sheet reconciliations • Provide support in payroll monitoring and cover as needed • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance team insights • Prepare ad hoc reports for local and group-level needs • Occasional travel to our clients Birmingham office for team alignment and training What You’ll Bring: Essential Skills & Experience • Manufacturing industry experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector • Excel Mastery: Advanced Excel skills, with a solid grasp of data analysis and reporting • SAP Savvy: Familiarity with SAP and confidence in navigating multiple systems • Organised & Communicative: Excellent communication skills, with a logical and systematic approach to tasks • Adaptable Mindset: As part of a small, collaborative team, you’re ready to take on a variety of tasks and support wherever needed Desirable Skills & Experience • Experience with Sage50 • Familiarity with accounting system migrations • Driving license (for occasional travel to Birmingham) • Experience managing accounts with overseas clients and handling foreign VAT processes Why Join Us?
