HR & Finance Manager
£22-£27 per hour

Are you an experienced HR and Finance professional looking to make a significant impact within a prestigious academic institution? This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities, allowing you to leverage your expertise in both human resources and financial management while contributing to the strategic goals.
As a key member of the professional services team, the HR & Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing streamlined processes, fostering an inclusive culture of continuous improvement.
Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Department Manager, Professional Services teams, HR and Finance teams, key academics, and external partners.
This role offers ample opportunities for professional development, including leading recruitment processes, managing financial planning and audits, and advising on HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and communicate up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
Provide confidential guidance on all HR matters to senior leadership.
Oversee recruitment processes, staff induction, and onboarding.
Ensure compliance with visa and Right to Work regulations.
Act as the Inclusion Lead, advising on Equality and Diversity issues.
Finance Management:
Serve as the first point of contact for departmental financial issues.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, assist in budget planning, and monitor accounts.
Authorise financial transactions and ensure compliance with Financial Regulations.
Manage expense claims, credit card payments, and scholarship fee payments.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience in HR and financial management within a complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
