Why join our talented team: As we continue to create breakthroughs at the forefront of technology, we are looking for a Finance & Operations Executive to play an integral role in the delivery of high-level support during the next phase of our growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager and COO and working with other senior internal stakeholders, you will assist company operations and provide functional support, driving efficiency within the team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with various stakeholders and be involved in multiple strands across the business. This role offers the opportunity for significant learning and professional development in a fast-paced industry and would be ideal for a an early-stage professional looking to develop their career in a fast-scaling start-up. The role will lend itself to progress into other functional areas over time. What you will do: Assist the finance function in all aspects of the expense management including accounts payable, credit card and cash expenses using excel and Xero Support the finance function with budget and cashflow management as part of the payments and procurement process Liaise with internal stakeholders, including engineering, product, project management and senior management alongside the finance function to gather necessary information required for funding claims and the month end process Assist the HR function will all recruitment and staff management processes, including governance and administration Support Angokas applications to events, awards, grant projects, and other commitments, including content creation, presentations, video Assist with Angokas marketing, events and communications activities, including occasional attendance Manage company bookings for major events, including all stand & exhibition related preparation, travel and accommodation arrangements Monitor and manage email inboxes, efficiently screening messages to identify and prioritise critical information, and ensuring timely distribution to relevant stakeholders What we are looking for: Talented and ambitious self-starter, with the desire to learn and grow in an exciting industry Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with 2-3 years of professional experience, ideally in a technology led business Excellent planning and organisational skills, and a high attention to detail and follow through An analytical mind, with the ability to think strategically and demonstrate proactive problem solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and solid writing skills Outstanding IT skills, with the ability to grasp a variety of platforms and systems (e.g., MS Office Suite, Excel, Google Workspace, CRM software, Social Media Platforms, Bookkeeping) Passion for IoT technologies, Smart Cities and cyber-security is a plus Foreign languages desirable ANGOKA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
