Finance Controller

Tay Recruitment are partnering with a leading and well-renowned organisation who are searching for an experienced Finance Controller. This is a key strategic position within the leadership team, overseeing financial operations for a sites throughout the UK. The successful candidate Will ensure you will have a positive and proactive approach to the finance department. You will be required to communicate efficiently and effectively throughout the business. You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with a good understanding of financial operating systems. Key Objectives: * Collaboration with the company leadership to set and track goals in alignment with broader company objectives. * Preparation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports and KPIs across various departments. * Budget management governance and team collaboration, fostering best practices in operations. * Play a pivotal role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for all aspects of the sites, including costs. * Manage prepayments, and inventory reconciliations * Support annual audits and ensuring compliance. * Manage Reconcile balance sheet Oversee Purchase & Sales Ledger * Management of fixed asset register * Oversee payroll and pensions * Credit control & debt management * Complete all HMRC returns including VAT and other statutory returns * Leadership and management of two team members Qualifications * Fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years’ experience - Preferred: ACCA, AAT (level 4), CIMA, ICAEW Prior experience in a manufacturing setting in a similar finance role * Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and ERP systems * Solid technical background * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Solid organisational skills * Able to use standard Microsoft office packages: Word, Excel. * A hands-on, can-do attitude with initiative to work well individually and in a team What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary £45,000 to £50,000 * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Pension Scheme * Annual service & Birthday recognition * Free on-site parking * Staff discount * Friends and family discount * Social events throughout the year This vacancy is being advertised by TAY Recruitment (An Employment agency) on behalf of our client.
