Alpine Formula 1 Team have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner. This is a varied position, partnering closely with multiple functions across the team.
The Role
You will have responsibility for financial management for key Operational/Technical functions across the team. You will use your analysis skills to provide key insights & will drive team performance with department leaders.
As as key member of the Finance team, you will support, challenge & drive engagement for FP&A processes including management of Operating & Capital Expenditure alongside the F1 Cost Cap.
Key accountabilities in this role are:
Own the planning & reporting processes for Operating Expenditure focusing on driving performance through:
- Acting as a finance SME to drive cross functional collaboration & financial performance through key business partnering relationships.
- Own the reporting, monitoring & forecasting processes for relevant areas; actively manage risk & opportunities, & support consolidation activity.
- Understand variances to budget, forecast & deliver insightful and innovative analysis to support this.
- Provide options & scenarios to support business decisions, including identification of cost saving opportunities, Cost Cap optimisation & resource allocation
Own the Capital Expenditure planning & reporting processes for relevant departments:
- Support the annual budget & monthly forecasting process business partnering stakeholders to achieve CapEx targets.
- Present regular performance updates & target tracking to key leadership, including identifying opportunities, risks & mitigations.
- Support effective allocation of cash resources, promoting commercial solutions and negotiation across the business.
Contribute to ongoing management of Cost Cap financial regulations:
- Manage the impact of financial regulations across operational & technical teams, helping to improve forecasting & supporting compliance.
- Support the development & impact analysis of emerging financial regulations; identify opportunities, risks and business impacts
- Deputise for & support the Head of FP&A & Business Partnering
The Person
You will be required to partner & work closely with key stakeholders, providing challenge & recommendations through key relationships. Communication at all levels is essential & with finance & non-finance colleagues.
You will be able to demonstrate your technical ability, either through experience in a previous role or relevant accounting qualification. Working knowledge of management information systems such as MS Dynamics and Power BI are desirable.
Planning, flexibility & the ability to meet deadlines is a key requirement in this position along with enthusiasm and the desire to work as part of a busy and results driven finance team.
