Amazon is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Global Tax Controversy Team with afocus on EMEA tax controversy matters, including transfer pricing and AdvancedPricing Agreement (APA) disputes, Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP), and taxlitigation in connection with both corporate income tax and VAT issues. Theright candidate for this role is someone who is comfortable operating in adynamic environment, ready to roll up their sleeves and dive deep to deliverimpactful results on multiple ongoing projects with competing deadlines. Key job responsibilities You will work with various teams across the business to help drive forward andresolve tax controversy issues across the EMEA region. This role requires someinternational travel and you will be partnering with other members of theAmazon tax team handling various tax matters including transfer pricing,international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and tax compliance. Thisrole will also coordinate and liaise with the Amazon Legal team on EMEA taxlitigation matters. About the team The Global Tax Controversy team is responsible for tax audits and disputesacross various jurisdictions globally including managing relationships withtax authorities in multiple countries. In addition, the Global Tax ControversyTeam is responsible for the competent authority relationship between theUnited States and its treaty partners globally in both APA and MAP context. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of tax experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm or an established taxdepartment of a top UK law firm, or at an overseas highly regarded legalpractice. - Strong relevant corporate andor indirect tax experience with a focus ontax controversy andor transfer pricing. - Exceptional written and verbal English language skills. ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Strong analytical skills coupled with a high level of commercial awareness. - Demonstrated ability of collaborating with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams and ability to partner well with individuals at all levelswithin an organization. - Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, informal, and often ambiguous andrapidly changing business environment. - High work standards and attention to detail.
