Job Requirements / Description
Our client, a leading independent student property letting agency with ambitious growth plans, are currently recruiting for a Group Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic growth objectives.
Key responsibilities will include managing a diverse portfolio encompassing property ownership, management, maintenance, and software development.
* System Implementation & Management: Develop and maintain robust financial systems.
* Strategic Support: Collaborate with senior management to design and implement growth strategies.
* Financial Operations: Manage client invoices, payments, and oversee VAT returns and payroll.
* Reporting: Produce detailed monthly management accounts and insightful commentaries.
* Account Maintenance: Verify and post transactions, maintaining accurate records.
* Liaison Duties: Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and banking partners.
* Process Improvement: Recommend updates to enhance our accounting systems and processes.
* Month-End Procedures: Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data for reporting purposes.
* Team Leadership: Supervise junior accounts staff to support process implementation.
* Year-End Process: Contribute to the preparation of annual accounts and schedules.
Requirements
* Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Xero is essential; other system experience is advantageous.
* Organisational Skills: Attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities.
* Analytical Abilities: Confidence in tackling complex financial challenges.
* Communication Skills: The ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
* Resilience: A calm and composed approach to the demands of a fast-growing business.
