Job Title: Banking and Finance Solicitor (Ideally Dual Qualified) Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland About the Role: Are you an ambitious and experienced Banking and Finance Solicitor, ideally with dual qualification (both England & Wales and Northern Ireland)? They are seeking a solicitor (flexible with level of experience) to join their busy banking and finance team. Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including secured and unsecured lending, acquisition finance, and project finance. Provide expert legal advice to financial institutions, borrowers, and investors on regulatory compliance, structuring deals, and financial documentation. Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial contracts, including loan agreements, security documents, and facility agreements. Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of finance transactions. Stay up to date with changes in banking and finance law across both England & Wales and Northern Ireland, offering strategic legal guidance to clients. About You: The ideal candidate will possess: Ideally a minimum of 2 years PQE (up to and including Director level) in banking and finance law, with proven experience in handling complex finance transactions. Although not essential, dual qualification with experience of advising on transactions within both England & Wales and Northern Ireland, with thorough knowledge of the legal frameworks in both jurisdictions. Strong understanding of corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and risk management in the banking sector. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage high-value transactions effectively. A proactive, client-focused approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
