Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.What you'll be doingRole Purpose To provide financial analysis and insight to support stakeholders to drive action and improve future performance. Support the process for a robust budgeting and forecasting and lead multi-site improvement activities as required. Optimise financial performance with a particular focus on relevant key performance indicators within business specialisation. Key AccountabilitiesEnsure financial reporting including weekly flash, weekly profit and loss, and month end close are completed accurately and within agreed timescalesDevelop and communicate key performance indicators to monitor and drive positive change and expand understanding of cost or margin driversEnsure input into costings is accurate and within agreed timescalesBuild cross functional relationships with key stakeholdersSupport budget and quarterly forecasts, demonstrating an understanding of the key drivers, to inform strategic decision makingIdentify, challenge, and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to provide information, interpretation, and insight to the functional teams to promote effective delivery of commercial and operational performanceContinuously review business practices to make recommendations for changes which will enhance cost efficiency and business improvementPreparation and monitoring of monthly reports and ensure queries are resolved in timely and effective mannerValidate and monitor excellence initiatives for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reportingProvide ad hoc analysis and insight to aid interpretation and decision makingWhat we're looking forQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), QBE or studying towards a qualificationExcellent Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent interpersonal skills able to communicate to all levels of the businessProactive, organised, and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver resultsAt Greencore we put our people at the core.
