Job Title: Compliance and Sustainability Manager Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Benefits: * Up to 20% performance related bonus * Pension scheme * Life assurance of 5x salary * Private healthcare Location: Cramlington Hours: 9-5 Monday to Thursday and 9-3 on Fridays The Company: Theo James Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading manufacturing firm based in Cramlington to find a skilled Sustainability and Compliance Manager. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion for environmental stewardship and regulatory adherence, looking to make a tangible impact within a dynamic, growth-oriented company. As the Sustainability and Compliance Manager, you’ll lead initiatives to drive sustainability across operations, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and shaping long-term goals for eco-friendly practices. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of compliance regulations, environmental frameworks, and a commitment to fostering sustainable practices. Responsibilites * Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare key sustainability information for internal and external communication. * Monitor industry best practice, share and implement new initiatives * Represent business at relevant industry working groups and events. * Develop knowledge of appropriate legislation and regulations * Develop Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) * Manage sustainability and compliance team (Sustainable Process Manager, Environmental Coordinator, Management System Coordinator) * Manage waste streams and external contractors * Maintain and develop management system * Prepare gap analysis, and implement countermeasures. * Identify and drive net zero strategy Skills and Requirements: * Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and best practices. * Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to analyse data and prepare reports for various audiences. * Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
